Bahamas Blackbeards Nov2007
I had a great time on this trip. With 19 dives at a wide variety of sites and room and board for about $900 it was a great value. The Blackbeards trips have been described as "camping at sea" and that`s pretty much on the mark as far as ammenities go. Most of the Diving was around Bimini where we dove walls, wrecks and fields of coral heads. The rest of the dives were around Grand Bahama (wrecks and coral head fields including my favorite dive, Lucayan Caves). Knowledgeable and helpful crew....

Sherman
The Sherman is a civil war era wreck off the coast of South Carolina near Myrtle Beach. Its shallow (about 50ft) and the visibility was limited, but the sea life was a treat. Lots of growth on the wreck (its been on the bottom since 1874) and some cool little guys (nudibranches) as well as the usual baraccuda. Short boat ride out (six miles)....

International Costal Clean up Day
On Sept. 15th and 16th I worked with a group of divers from East Coast Diving Supply to clean up areas around Ocean City New Jersey, We did both in water and shoreline clean up. Some of the area was marsh, and we pulled out quite a bit of trash including a manaquine, a home hot water heater and a sofa....

San Carlos Mexico
I went over Labor Day weekend on a trip organized by N-Depth Scuba of Chandler, Arizona. For me this was a great trip with interesting dive sites, very well organized and run. Many of the sites have fairly steep drop offs that are essentially a continuation of the cliff faces you see above water. I was interested in playing with my new toy (camera) and got a lot of great subject matter. (Not that the pictures all turned out great, but I`m learning) so I pretty much stayed above 80ft.
