There should be a few, I might a bunch of Jersey wreck divers getting sidemount training back in 2003. At that time you had to have a full cave cert to get a sidemount specialty.

I am a Tec Deep and Tec Sidemount Instructor, you dont have to be a cave diver to dive sidemount. I dive sidemount, unless teaching an open water class. If you are interested, you can take Tec training in sidemount configuration, which has lots of benefits and uses for deeper, ocean and wreck dives as well as when traveling. can be hard to rent backmount, easier on and off the boats and shore entry/exit.
I dive with Scubadelphia 267-343-5590. Often at Dutch Springs, but then usually with a class so not much time for fun dives. check it out, may be what you are looking for. Pura Vida joseph

I dive with a guy that backmounts sometimes, I’ve found one other guy that sidemounts and dive as often as I can with him usually at Dutch...after my 20th dive I switched over to sidemount and have not had a tank on my back since...not into Tec yet just having fun at Dutch and on wrecks off Jersey....just look’in to dive MY 3rds and not a single tankers

I teach sidemounting too but I don’t sell it like others!..LOL.. I was just stating back in 2003 there was a lot of New Jersey wreck divers learning to sidemount because at that time sidemounting was a specialty that full cave divers could get, not to be confused with a Specialty that PADI divers can get!...LOL..

I started SM this year. I’m heading to Dutch on the 16th, possibly the 15th also and diving SM. I did a couple of wreck dives two weeks ago out Belmar. Right now I’m goin out for another two in September. I’m down in Gloucester county.

I’ll be camping at Dutch on the 15th but not diving...bring’in my kid there for some aquapark fun with a friend and his daughter
