Anyone have a GoPro 3D housing?

I’m hoping to find some who owns a GoPro 3D housing, or knows someone who owns one? I’m thinking of buying one, plus the second GoPro necessary to operate it. But I need to get my hands on a raw test file first. My company has a 3D printer. It basically takes a 3D file and prints particles of plastic, in full color, in the shape of the image, just like in a Sci Fi movie. Imagine having a three dimensional plastic version of a fish right out of one of your photos. Can anyone help? It doesn’t need to be an underwater photo. Any 3D photo from the system. I just need to find out if the format is compatible. Thanks in advance!

I have a Hero2 with both the standard housing and the flat screen dive housing. Too bad we live so far apart (and I’m planning on using it next month - so I’m doing a bunch of testing/learning now).

You can rent a Hero for around $20/day. Let me know if you need the source. Another option is that someone just send you their 3D photo of whatever you’re interested in.

For those that have never seen a 3D Printer, here’s a link you need to watch!

I’ll check here but I think we are using lazer scans and/or own files. Some engineer printed Yoda’s head (your tax dollars at work) and it’s light enough or the force is with it that it’s floating over a magnet.

3D Photo’s are available already if you don’t have a specific item you want to "print".

Yes I know that. The manufacturer of the printer supplies us with lot of sample files. But I want to know if the 3D GoPro works with the printer so I can print my 3D underwater pictures. Better to find out BEFORE I spend $500 on another GoPro and the housing.

What about these 3D images:

Maybe contact Tiger and Taff to confirm they used a GoPro 3D camera.
