Upon arriving at Lake Rawlings, I was directed to check in at the dive shop. There were several divers checking in as well. There was a nice family checking in, in front of me. My attention was drawn to them because they appeared to be having a problem with the guy behind the counter. When it was our turn he was equally as rude to us. I considered just leaving, but we had driven a couple of hundred miles to get there. I decided instead to focus my attention on getting my head wet, which I did. Once at the lake, we were able to make a couple of good dives. There was a really nice rock ledge drop off. Unfortunately the temperature dropped off as well. Actually the cold water was refreshing. I may not drive that far to dive there again, but if you find yourself in the area, give it a try. DIVE SAFE!!

DalelynnSims - 8/14/2007 7:17 AM Sorry you had a problem with Kevin. I know that he can be a pain sometimes. While I do work there I am mainly at the dock and elsewhere only help in the dive shack early on Saturday when things begin and then off and on doing gear stuff or filling tanks and such. There are only two of us that are gas blenders there so I am there for that as well. Don`t know if he had a bad day but please bear with us as you check in as it is not uncommon for us to attempt to process 200 plus people in less than an hour and there are only two or three of us. I know some weekends we have dive shops with hords of students and are not ready with paperwork, gear reservations etc. All adds to the frustration level and some of these shops bring from 50 to 100 people at a time. Thank goodness this past weekend was light as we are short handed. That said I will pass along your concern to the boss as we always like feedback, good and bad.
