A great big thanks to the West Virginia Scuba Divers and Divebuddy for giving me the opportunity to meet some great divers. I attended the Portage Quarry Legends Weekend August 7-8-9 and arranged to dive with a couple of great guys from the West Virginia Scuba Divers Club whom I met on this site. So here’s to Hobie and Charstew. By the way, Charstew, can cook some mean steaks.. they were great! On Saturday we did four dive’s with the deepest at 51 feet which was really appreciated since I’m really new at this. They were great at helping me get a handle on my bouyancy. They were always near by and contantly monitered safety issues. So if your new at diving and need some good divebuddies that are sensitive to new diver needs ...these are the buddies for you :) Hey Hobie.. doesn’t know how to stop smiling.

charstew - 8/16/2009 9:16 AM Thanks so much for the wonderful blog. You are right Hobie is always smiling. As far as being new at this (diving) you seemed to do really well in the water and seem like a seasoned diver to me. We will have to get another dive planned before the end of the season.
