This club is for all the people that don’t just do "Pay to Dive" dive sites. We enjoy finding a deep hole in a creek, a good spot on the river, a random farm pond, an abandoned quarry, or whatever water is deep enough to go down in. We debated about naming our online club the "fence hoppers", but as true as it may be sometimes, it’s probably not as politically correct as the other option we debated; about "Bring Your Own Bottle" Club since most places we dive there’s not much of an option for fills/rentals.

Although as a group we still visit the pay to play quarries, and will do wreck boats, but we also enjoy the thrill of finding and exploring new stuff!

gemiller - 7/13/2014 4:24 PM Stoney Fork When I was leaving this hole on Saturday some old timer stopped to chat me up saying he hasn’t seen anyone in that hole with dive gear EXCEPT since him and a few others 20-30 years ago pulled out giant Pine Cone fossils from the bottom of that hole. Said they ended up with a local university but has no idea what ever happened to them after that. He said they wanted to go back and dig in and around for more and bigger ones but never did do it. He said the ones they found were literally exposed on the face or from chip offs. I didn’t really look at all for fossils but I know that whole creek bed is well known for them especially upstream further near the campground so I can certainly see how with that underground landscape it’s possible. Said he was glad to see some people still have the adventure mindset!
