Wanted an easy dive for Jana to try out her new camera she got for Christmas. Decided to rent tanks at Ginnie which was a mistake. In the future we will grab them from our local shop or one of the surrounding places in High Springs. Rental process there is pretty convoluted and needlessly complicated.

The actual dive site was interesting. We did the ballroom. Also had new wetsuits and we were overweighted for this. As a result our buoyancy struggled, especially with the strong outflow from the spring vent. Luckily there was no real accumulation of silt at the bottom so even with terrible trim we could still enjoy. Saw some catfish and blue gill. Probably wouldn’t come back unless I was with someone who really wanted to check it off the list of places they’ve dived.
