Rubicon Point - Lake Tahoe is a shore accessible fresh water dive site, located at Hwy 89, South Lake Tahoe, CA. This dive site has an average rating of 3.50 out of 5 from 4 scuba divers. The maximum depth is over 150ft/46m. The average visibility is 51-60ft/16-18m.
Absolutely beautiful dive spot!
Altitude Dive 6250’; First stop at 50% of depth for 1 minute, Last stop at 12’ (due to altitude) for 3 minutes. Good Buoyancy a must!!! Wall is nearly vertical and 800’ to the bottom.
Accessed through D.L. Bliss State Park from Hwy 89. Drive through campground staying to the right, limited parking. About 50 stairs down to water. Wall is 200’ or less off of the point.
D.L. Bliss’ campgrounds offer over 150 campsites, and it can accommodate campers up to 21 feet long and trailers up to 15 feet. Sorry, no RV hook ups are available, but the park does have showers and flush toilets.
