I loved this site and did four dives there November 2011. I was with a large group from Colorado using Stewart Cove.
Southwest Reef is a shallow reef area several miles offshore so the ride out takes awhile. It’s well worth it though as it’s like swimming in a huge aquarium. The light is fantastic so photos/videos really look great. We saw a number of rays, a couple of white tip reef sharks and LOTS of smaller stuff.
Trunk fish, parrots, trumpets, butterflies, as thousands of others. The coral heads are covered with giant fans and many many colorful corals. I spent most of each dive just looking at 2-3 coral heads there was so much to see. Lots of micro stuff.
