Gull Lake Prairieville Park is a shore accessible fresh water dive site, located at E Gull Lake Dr, Hickory Corners, MI 49060. Great site for beginner divers. There are ropes connecting several objects. Dive platform, boat, and swing set to name a few.

We saw numerous fish and were inundate by Smelt.

We were surrounded by Smelt. We saw lots of other fish but the Smelt encounter is an awesome experience.

Great dive with awesome viz. We never hit a thermocline as the water was 50 degrees from surface to 50 ft

Great dive. We saw a few smelt and plenty of other fish. Looks like the water isn’t quite cool enough toget smelt grouped up.

This was another night dive. We were hoping for schools of smelt but the water temp is still up from the two weeks of high temps.

Sunny and 56 made for a great opportunity to get the season started. Had a great dive. Viz was better then normal with a water temp of 39f. Looking forward to getting another one soon. there were a few fish around.

One of the best night dives I’ve ever been on. We saw numerous fish and we were inundate by Smelt.
I actual had Smelt fall out of my wet suit when I took it off. Here’s a video of the dive of which a segment made my local news.

Great place to get familiar with diving. Nice facilities and a small restaurant across the street.
