searly28 - 9/16/2014 8:51 AM I was certified in the 60’s. Used to dive a lot there. Haven’t been back, but need to check it out again. I remember it always being clear, and the cavern fairly large and open. Horse shoe shaped cavern, as I recall. Dive training then, included buddy breathing through the cavern and back out. No octopus back then. :-)

Never alot of manatees at King Springs but it has a nice cavern. The cavern itself is usually a little hard to find because water quality isn’t best above the spring but it’s the usual crystal clear once you get into the spring. It’s a nice entry level cavern to get your feet wet before heading to some of the other sites.

Nikko7219 - 1/17/2012 11:37 AM Rating Added: 3 Been here twice and both durring the cold months. Manatee are cool and the spring is ok for a quick dive. We use American Pro Dive Center to get to this site both times and they are great. Took my GPS last time and now will use my own boat.
