St. Andrews State Park Jetties - Kiddie Pool is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located at 4607 State Park Lane, Panama City, FL 32408. This dive site has an average rating of 3.67 out of 5 from 18 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 61-70ft/19-21m. The average visibility is 26-30ft/8-9m.

From the park webpage:"Well known for its sugar white sands and emerald green waters, this former military reservation has over one-and-a-half miles of beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and Grand Lagoon. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, and canoeing. Two fishing piers, a jetty, and a boat ramp provide ample fishing opportunities for anglers. Two nature trails wind through a rich diversity of coastal plant communities - a splendid opportunity for bird-watching. Those wanting to relax can sunbathe on the beach or enjoy a leisurely lunch under the shade of a picnic pavilion. Full-facility campsites, as well as primitive youth group camping, make this park a popular overnight destination. A concession offers snacks, souvenirs, and fishing amenities. Shell Island Boat Tours are available during the spring and summer. Located three miles east of Panama City Beach, off State Road 392 (Thomas Drive)."

Best diving on high tide. June grass, fish and coral spawn can negatively effect the visibility. Many interesting invertebrates and nice large grouper. Spearfishing is illegal in al FL state parks! If diving on the outside of the jetty swim against the current toward the bay. Beware of fishermen and rip currents. Diving inside the jetty in the "tide" or "kiddie" pool is very easy and laid back, good for snorkeling and photography.

BillParker - 8/12/2017 8:32 PM I went scuba diving here on 8/12/2017. Average viz: 21-25ft/6-8m. Water temp: 76-80°F/24-27°C. 100 more minutes of bottom time at the jetty. I couldn’t control the dates I was here but I was fortunate the high tide (brings in the clearer Gulf water) had a long interval. Today was actually the most favorable day for a month. I was unfortunate it rained for hours last night and washed silt in to the water. The viz was still good just not as good as it could have been. This is for divers with advanced observational skills. If you go to a place like Cozumel and need a dive guide to point out fish for you in a place where there are MILLIONS of fish it’s not for you. If you can hover and not move for five minutes there will be plenty to see. I collected a few shells just for fun.

btw2459 - 1/29/2012 7:15 AM Rating Added: 3 I’ve been a few times. Plenty of fish to see. Best time is when the tide is high. It is fun when the tide is running and you can drift along.
