Come dive in one of the most beautiful spring fed lakes in the Mid-West. Natural Springs Resort scuba diving provides some of the clearest water in the area with several underwater attractions which makes for a perfect dive training environment.

With huge Bass, Catfish, Bluegill and Grass Carp over 4 feet long, we have lots of natural wildlife to enjoy.

One of the things that will entice you is our unique “freshwater jellyfish”, that while only about the size of a dime, maintain all the beauty of their full size saltwater cousins! (no, they won’t hurt you, there too small). See our featured article in the June 2010 issue of Dive Training Magazine.

Your dive fee provides you with dive privileges, a free tank of air, as well as access to the beach and pool. Lake access is integrated with our parking lot so loading and unloading of equipment is very convenient. Restrooms and warm showers are located near by at our store. Between dives get refreshed and grab a snack from the store or eat a whole meal from the grill. If you have family or friends that do not dive they can come along and enjoy the beach, pool or play miniature golf while you are diving.

Better yet, bring your RV or stay in one of our cabins and enjoy all that Natural Springs has to offer for a weekend or a week.

December and January have had temps in the low 40’s with 30-40’ viz. most of the quarry is 15-20’ deep with a trench along the edge that gets to 30’ deep. For a small quarry lake this has a decent diversity of fish. Ive seen bass, bluegill, catfish, walleye, goldfish, crappie, perch, paddlefish, carp and numerous turtles here. There are several attractions such as cars and boats sunk in here but they are showing some age now.

I’ve not seen any of the paddlefish yet. Where do they like to hang out?
Lutra - 12/27/2024 10:58 PM
Sorry i didn’t see this until a year later… i have seen them the most in the trench by the north and east cliff (i have a good video of them by the trench platform). Once i saw one south of the boat with the toilet in it. If you have your cold water gear let me know if you want to dive it soon.

Thanks for the info, I’d love to get to see them while I’m there. I didn’t as much local diving this year because my boys and I were working on spreading out our footprint on the map of places we’ve been diving.

fair enough, we do a lot of Florida trips but I’d like to get more Great Lakes trips in the books. It’s just harder to find people who are good with the cold lol
