Kahe Point Beach Park (aka Electric Beach), HI is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located at Farrington Highway, Oahu, HI 96818. This dive site has an average rating of 3.58 out of 5 from 53 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 31-35ft/9-11m. The average visibility is 61-70ft/19-21m. Training platforms are available.

It is across the street from a power plant and one of the tubes lets out warm water and that attracts the fish. Its a beginner dive but good for rusty divers or ones who need a refresher.

Pipe was cool, especially watching the fish seemingly playing in the discharged water. Met a large turtle there that we followed to a new reef.

jalpirez - 7/28/2014 5:53 PM Rating Added: 4 One of my favorite sites: easy beach entry, lots of sea life, and 40-60ft of vis. Dove Oahu from ’01-’05, and miss being there every day. Water is warm, so only a shorty or 3mm; nothing thicker needed. Oh yeah...don’t forget your camera!!!

Laura - 10/04/2009 11:30 PM The area is also called Pili o kahe Beach, and despite the upscale Ko Olina Resort nearby, it’s also right next to Nanakuli. You definitely need to leave someone with your vehicle, there are several encampments of people nearby. Access is very easy with restroom and outdoor shower. Ditto on the water coming out the pipe, you don’t even need to be right in front of it to get caught. Majority of dive around coral reefs is pretty shallow (10 to 18 feet), extra weight doesn’t hurt to keep you from popping up towards the end of your dive.

GKS - 3/17/2009 12:32 AM The depth at the tubes is closer to 25’ and they blow warm water from the powerplant. Look inside the tubes for humpback cowry, they’re the only thing that can get in there. There are shark caves (White tip reef) to either side of the vents. Plenty of turtles, octopus and the occaisional Eagle ray out on the sand. Some winter days this is the only shore entry available on the island. Not many campers left these days. HPD hangs here too. Watch out for the train on Sundays!
