Aquarium dive in the "Shipwreck" Exhibit at Denver Aquarium. The sharks and turtles in the tank come right up to you and you are allowed to keep whatever shark teeth you find. Interacting with the children viewing the exhibit is lots of fun too. Kinda pricey at $175 but gear is included (as they do not want your own gear with whatever residue is left on it from your last dive to contaminate their tank). It is a good dive to satisfy a dive fix in the dead of winter in Colorado but not too much to see or do that you couldn’t accomplish on the dry side of the glass since you are confined to a trench that runs the length of the tank.

Greg - 9/29/2013 3:53 PM I went scuba diving here on 9/29/2013. Average viz: 91-100ft/28-30m. Water temp: 71-75°F/22-24°C. Amazing dive with the sharks at the Denver Aquarium! Very memorable experience. I contacted A1Scuba to arrange the dive. The $185 fee covered everything, including all gear (wetsuit, mask, fins, bc, regs, tank...everything!). An aquarium employee gave us a guide tour of the filter/pump rooms and the main control area for all the tanks. The dive guide gave us a great pre-dive briefing, we tested our weight, and basic dive skills (mask clearing, reg recovery). There were Tiger Sharks, Sandbar Sharks, Sawfish, Green Sea Turtles, Giant Barracuda, and a massive puffer fish (must have been around 2 feet long!). The Tiger sharks were constantly circling overhead. The Sawfish were pretty intimidating with their massive saw on the front of their face. I also found a few shark teeth that I was able to keep! One of my favorite moments was waving to the little kids on the other side of the glass. You can tell they were excited to see a scuba diver wave back at them.
