Cousins Rock, Santiago Island - Ecuador

Loading...
Cousins Rock, Santiago Island is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Galapagos, Ecuador. This dive site has an average rating of 4.00 out of 5 from 3 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 61-70ft/19-21m.

On a Galapagos liveaboard this will be an early dive or one of the last, I believe some dayboats may also come here.

It’s a rock, stepped sided from changes in water level as volcanic activity has raised and lowered the land. Among the black coral on the steps you’ll find seahorses and Galapagos nudi’s. On the flats around the rock, baitballs and rays. There is also a small sealion colony that will come play with your bubbles

I went scuba diving here on 9/10/2005. Average viz: 91-100ft/28-30m. Water temp: 71-75°F/22-24°C.
34.8% Nitrox Cousin’s Rock on the west side of Isla San Salvador, a series of under cut ledges covered in black coral, green urchins that look yellow, lot’s of hawkfish, blemmies, parrots, silversides?, chocolate chip stars, the thinner stars, some king angels, a few sealions, one well hidden seahorse and one small turtle. I’m chilled and sit out 2nd dive.9/1005
