A spot of exceptional wealth that extends from the point of Cap de Creus to the island of Sa Rata. The profile of the sea floor, some 500 metres long, has depths from 5 to 70 metres in its northern part, and to 30 metres in the south.
In fact it is a crest. The particularity of the site resides in the fact that the currents of the Gulf of Lions meet this 70-metre-high wall, creating an acceleration of the current which can become very strong and make the dive impossible.
Protected fauna, gorgonias, red coral, dozens of groupers, dentex, giltheads, corvinas. A school of barracuda lives in this island, sometimes numbering thousands.
The dive is conducted between 15 and 25 metres, usually with currents that sometimes even force the dive to be aborted.
