Anse Chastanet Reef is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located in Saint Lucia. This dive site has an average rating of 4.50 out of 5 from 2 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 61-70ft/19-21m. The average visibility is 71-80ft/22-24m. This dive site provides bathrooms and airfills.
From the Scuba St. Lucia Resort you enter from the shore. There is a lot of fast moving boat traffic over the reef so you cannot go directly to the surface. A guide will show you were you need to go before you can surface.
To make sure you are comfortable in the water, they will do a checkout at the shore. You enter the water, go under in a shelter bay, do a regulator and mask recovery. Once the guide is sure everyone is comfortable with this (everyone in my group took literally seconds) we swim out to the reef. It is only a dozen kicks out.
