I went scuba diving here on 5/3/2019.
Massive turtles! One was 6 feet across. Two small stingrays as well and a ton of cow fish. Coral was pretty and healthy as well.

Not much coral, the sight lives up to it’s name.

I dove this site twice in two different years. On the first dive we saw eight turtles, and the next we saw eleven Turtles in one dive!

Can have very fast current for drift dive movements.

This was a drift dive, with very fast moving currents. Fine by me, except when I wanted to stop and take pictures. It was a bit disappointing to be pushed by the current past the large school of tarpon so quickly, because there is nothing like seeing a literal wall of silver bigger than a house. And, yes, there are plenty of tortugas (turtles.)

Chucho picks us up early for a ride over to the mainland for a dive on a patch reef, Tortugas, not much reef but at least 20 turtles, green morays, nurse sharks and one bull shark. Side note, on the ride back Chucho gets a call that his wife is in labor!

Can have some heavy current but well worth doing the dive. Some of the largest turtles I’ve ever encountered.
