Coral reef plate starting at 15-20ft by the mooring with fingers of coral reaching into sandy areas with a maximum depth of 55-60ft. Start your dive on the west side of the mooring where there is a large sandy canyon - follow the canyon towards the hardpan (shore direction) and next to it you will find the entrance to a long tunnel (approximately 40ft long). The tunnel is well-lit and open with a sandy bottom and provides shelter for large crab, shrimp, spotted drum and lobster. Turn east at the exit of the tunnel to weave your way through a maze of swim-throughs and coral heads, searching for lionfish and eels. Keep an eye on the sand patches for stingrays and eagle rays. It is possible to come across nurse sharks resting in the swim-throughs. Head back to the mooring on top of the reef and enjoy the amazing hard coral formations and a variety of reef fish.
