New Drop Off is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Palau. The maximum depth is 111-120ft/34-37m. The average visibility is 51-60ft/16-18m.
Arrived back from Palau in March 2014, took a long time to get there but it was well worth it.
Managed to talk to a couple who were looking to see wrecks, we hopped aboard another boat with Sam’s Tours so in total including the captain and Dive guide 5 people on board, the current was very strong and it was a good job that I left my whale fins at home they would have been useless here. After getting my double reef hook in place I was able to take fantastic pictures as the wildlife were moving very slowly some of sharks came quite close about 3 foot from us. Water and visibility was so blue and clear. My favorite dive site so far.
Diving Depth Summary: Top of the reef: 3 feet ( 1 meter) below the surface. Plateau: 30 feet (10 m). Cavern on the southern wall: 120 feet (40 m).
