Enchanted Cove is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Petu Island, Solomon Islands.
Enchanted Cove (named by Kate Hardie from Australia) Just off the little island of Petu is an unusual dropoff characterized by hard coral covered ridges extending deep into the abyss, with sand chutes between them. Shrimp and signal gobies populate the wall base, with the occasional sleeping sting ray perturbed at being disturbed from its nap. The shallows boast stunning beds of countless varieties of hard corals sheltering wrasses, damsels, our endemic White Bonnet Anemone fish and their parent species. Cuttlefish mate and lay their eggs here, huge schools of black-tailed snappers, emperors and parrots wander the avenues. Hanging on the blue side of the shallows has proved a great place to catch rays and sharks passing by
