Cotton Candy Wall is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Mbaleva Island, New Georgia Group, Solomon Islands. The maximum depth is 91-100ft/28-30m.
Cotton Candy Wall (named by Daniel and Catherine Major from Canada). Try to imagine drifting down 100 feet ( 30 meters) into clouds of pink froth. The pie’ce de resistance of this dive site is the covering of pink- yes pink- soft corals, not just under the overhangs, but down the entire wall to the pinnacles and ridges of the floor. Home to the largest school of bat fish I’ve ever seen, some very curious sharks, many species of groupers, massive clouds of baitfish, it is hard to know where to look. When our computers urge us to ascend, the wall, rife with crevices and overhangs, reveal flaming scallops, rare dottybacks, shrimpgobies, and shy puffers
