This is the first Florida Underwater Archaeological Preserve. It marks the site of the Urca de Lima a Spanish Galleon that sunk during a hurricane in 1715. It is part of the 1715 Treasure Fleet. Older references claim that this site has mooring buoys, but this is no longer the case.
