This is the first Florida Underwater Archaeological Preserve. It marks the site of the Urca de Lima a Spanish Galleon that sunk during a hurricane in 1715. It is part of the 1715 Treasure Fleet. Older references claim that this site has mooring buoys, but this is no longer the case.

SharkyDiver - 6/15/2015 8:56 PM I went scuba diving here on 6/13/2015. Average viz: 16-20ft/5-6m. Water temp: 76-80°F/24-27°C. We had problems with the boat GPS, so we dove the third reef near the Urca de Lima. The reef looked larger on the boat depth finder. It was a small 2 - 4 foot ridge in about 20 feet of water. The visibility was about 15 ft. Honestly, the reef looked dead, possibly from salvaging activity.
