Sesostris Wreck is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Isla Larga, Venezuela.
The island also offers a variety of marine life and beautiful corals around the German freighter "Sesostris", which sank in 1940 after a mutiny by the crew, as well as an Italian cattle boat, in which the holding structure covers Wooden cattle is evident. These shipwrecks have become over time artificial reefs of varied underwater fauna. Long Island is an excellent place to practice diving and snorkeling. Another recent extreme sports tradition is the practice of open water swimming; expert swimmers dive into the sea from Playa Huequito (on land) and round cross the channel that separates Long Island to the mainland.
