(Above comment continued) Most times the only people you see here are fishermen or divers working
on their specialty dives for "Navigational, "Limited Visibility" and
"Wreck Diving" or just simply because it is less crowded than "Blue
Hole". Perch Lake is no where near as crowded as the other certification lake called "Blue Hole", 2 miles away, which is year-around 61 deg and 82 feet deep or, with altitude adjustment, 100 ft.

I have dived here a few times. Not use to "Lake" diving. Most lakes in this state are very limited visibility (5 to 25 ft depending on how much they have been stirred up) from what I understand. In this particular lake I have experienced some thermoclines (72 on surface to 63 at lower depths), decent and really bad visibility. One of the dives, my buddy and I had to hold on to each other to keep from getting separated. However, there is an airplane in about 15 to 25 feet of water to the left, just off the dock you see in the picture above, as well as, a car with the buoys tied to it at about 40 feet. So, if you can get through the murkiness there are a couple rewards for wreck diving. Otherwise you may see some lake fish and lots of underwater weeds, bushes and muck.
