[Choose #2] The cost of upkeep can get to be more than renting. If you are not diving very often you can rent gear for less.

[Choose #4] Yes, please someone have a sight for free/cheap fitted gear. I’m located near a great dive location but can’t afford the gear rentals pluss the entry fees. I usually just take what parts I have and review my notes w/o being able to dive.

[Choose #3] when you have your own gear you will make and find time and money to go diving,it’s a fact,+you will never get the full price ypu paid for your gear and then when you buy again you will pay a full price.

[Choose #3] You don’t have to take a big diving vacation to enjoy diving. Local lakes and/or carpool with other divers to better sites that are continental rather than international.

[Choose #3] I would only sell it, if you need the money. If you have it, might as well keep it. I would not want to re-invest the $$$ when (not if) the time comes.

[Choose #3] Do not hang on to the gear to long. It needs to be used or it will go bad. Keep servicing the gear and hope you can find some where in your imediate area where you can go diving. Also over time your gear will become obsolete with new gear coming out.

[Choose #1] Since it sounds like you never went diving the gear will go for a good price on ebay, or you could sell the gear to your local dive shop so they could resell it, thats how i bought all my gear.
