Greetings to All Divers!

Just returned from Cozumel Nov 13-24. Stayed at the Hotel Cozumel & Resort (as in the previous 11x) and it was a good trip. The island is coming alive with the upcoming preparations for the Cozumel Ironman Triathlon and Christmas just around the corner. Got wet with Dive Paradise at the resort and then with Opal’s Dream Dive Shop, my buddies for the longest time. Visited the following sites: La Francesa, Palancar Gardens and Caves, Chankanaab Bolones, Punta Tunich, San Clemente, Santa Rosa Wall, Tormentos, Paraiso, Colombia, Yucab, Dalila, and Cedral Wall and as you can "see’" I was a tad busy! Got rewarded with "La Piece De Resistance," a nice Spotted Eagle Ray munching on a conch just lazily flying around us just chillin’, truly an awesome sight. Got to see a couple of Caribbean Reef and a Nurse shark splashing around the place, also some Pipe Horses. There are still a couple a resident adult Green Morays to say hi! to you as you drift by. The usual lobsters, (Spanish) and regular crabs, and your assorted critters. Had some nice chicken tacos at both El Pique and Taqueria Diaz and some goood fish tacos at La Hach! Mission Accomplished, already planning # 13, what are you waiting for??? And before I forget, MUCHAS GRACIAS to all that offered advice on the backplate system. I recently purchased one and tried it on this trip, it was awesome, very comfortable and economical as I am only using 10 lbs and plan to reduced a bit more next time, much obliged!!!

Coz is one of those places you can just keep going back too, plenty of choice dive sites, the island life keeps changing. Last time there we stumbled onto a car show, never knew there were that many custom cars on the island!

The Hotel Coz is nice, love the tunnel so you don’t have to dodge traffic but last time our group rented a home, private pool, our own rinse tank and shaded drying area, lounging in PJ’s, not sure if I could go back to a hotel again!

Ah well until I hit the lotto or something like it, I’ll keep going back to HCR as the babes are nice (YUM!) and the service is good. You are correct in that PR is not a state, rather a commonwealth, as the referendums and debates back home still rage. The Hwy sign brings me memories. I changed my profile pic, this is really ME, Infantry & Airborne, Hooaaaah!!! YOU are not a tanker, are you??? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!
