i have 2 belts with the same weight on each,, 1 belt has the S/S keepers an the other has the plastic and ive not noticed any advantages or disadvantages on either

I’ve used both over the years and they both work, then there is the third choice, put the belt thru the slot, twist it over and down thru the other slot, that will stop the weights from moving too :) You might want to put a keeper on the free end of the belt so the weights don’t end up on your foot while you are donning.

I have some plastic one’s that are from when I got cert. in 1987 so I would say plastic does fine.

As Mr. McGuire said to Ben, "Plastics!".

Which one will break first. Which one will catch onto something else easier. Which choice is the best for your diving needs. Its your decision for your diving needs.

From Progrower: I have some plastic one’s that are from when I got cert. in 1987 so I would say plastic does fine. You answered my question which was, "How do the plastic keepers hold up over time." You’re a mind reader.
