 West Palm Beach, FL - July 9-10-ish

I’m planning a trip to West Palm. I’m not sure if I’m taking Fri or Mon off to make it a 3 day weekend (2 night lodging).

Anyone interested? Let me know if you’re meeting for the dives, or also looking for place to sleep.

I will be renting a house/apt through AirBnB/VRBO. Hoping to keep cost per night down in the $50-70 range.

I’ve created a FB event and invited friends. Shoot me a FB friend request (Andy Dye - Jacksonville, FL) if you want to be added there.

Any suggestions for charter?

High tide at Blue Heron is around noon-1pm on these dates. Might be able to get a dive in there too.

Dates are solidified. Will be staying Fri and Sat night.

I’ll have a dive schedule after seeing what the charters have to offer. I am thinking Fri afternoon, all day Sat, and Sun morning. Hopefully I can get a night dive in Fri or Sat night.

Blue Heron bridge will fall in there somewhere. Maybe Sun afternoon, depending when the boat gets back. High tide is at 1pm.

I will be staying in Pompano Beach, July 2nd - July 13th. Planning on a lot of beach dives, but no boat dives scheduled yet. BHB is on the list as well. Would be glad to meet up while you’re there.

Here’s some info. Hope to meet some "divebuddy’s". This is the first of several trips I plan to make to West Palm this summer.

If you can’t make it to the water, we’ll be visiting a watering hole in the evenings. I’m open to suggestions for food/drink and look forward to meeting anyone who wants to join in.

Dive schedule:

Fri. 11:30: (July 8th) Blue Heron Bridge. Beach dive. Rent tank ($10 air - Blue Heron Bridge Scuba). Would need to be entering water by 11:30, based on tide. I’ll try to post exact location on property when I get parked.

Fri. afternoon (July 8th 2:30): Florida Scuba Charters - Dustin (561) 676-1230. Currently have 3 going. He needs 4min. Says it will not be a problem. I will call to verify next week.

Sat. morning (July 9th 8:30): Florida Scuba Charters (561) 676-1230. $50 2-tank dive. Tank rental (100cf steel) - Air $15, Nitrox $20

Sat. afternoon (July 9th 1:30): Florida Scuba Charters (561) 676-1230. $50 2-tank dive. Tank rental (100cf steel) - Air $15, Nitrox $20

Sun. morning (July 10th 8:00): Ocean Quest Scuba (561) 776-5974. 2 tank. $85air-95Nitrox

Looks like we’ll dive Blue Heron Bridge on Sun. I think high tide is 1:30ish. Will be getting in the water 30min prior to high tide.

Update - my plans have changed I will be scalloping this weekend with some buddies and we’re gonna scuba dive for then instead of snorkel.
