Hi, I think I need to fix my posting. I’m selling it. I bought it this year but have never used it. I have two other BCD’s and changed my mind about using this one. I’ve been traveling so haven’t had time to deal with getting rid of it.

This item is for sale. I have pictures on my profile photo section. It’s brand new, never used. Still sealed in the package.

It sounds like what the seller is saying is "No, I have not sent this back to Mares to have the inflator replaced." I would expect the buyer would have to count on sending it in to Mares for the replacement if they believe it is a risk to them. (Personally, I would just tighten the button myself and begin diving.)
Since she states the package is unopened, I think it would have been impossible to have sent it back for repair without having opened the package. The other possibility is the unit is old enough that it did not come with the new style inflator subject to the recall, in which case your question would be moot.

Hi, I didn’t realize there was a recall. I bought it directly thru Scuba Schools International. Wonder if I should contact them directly to ask about the recall. I hate having to open the package.
