Portable Staging Stands

I frequently dive quarries and park slightly uphill. I drive an SUV and don my equipment in the back sitting slightly beyond the bumper facing away from the vehicle. It is difficult to slip into my BCD because the tank is always ready to topple over. It becomes a challenging balancing act to slip my arms through the loops.
Any suggestions on securing the tank while I don the BCD? Are there portable platforms that will secure the tank while donning and have an easy release after you are done? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have seen short sections of PVC pipe to stand the tank in mounted to a square of plywood in the back of an SUV
Most SUV’s have tie down points so they are probably anchored

I’ve seen a few divers use the Black and Deck Workmate.

If you dive a single tank, and are able to comfortably lift it, learn how to overhead don?
