I’ve been seeing articles on fitness and diving in just about all the publications. I’m glad to see that it is becoming more accepted that people want to get in shape and dive. I believe the general consensus is that you do not have to be a super athlete but at least take some steps to try to improve your general fitness level.
I can say that personally SCUBA diving got me to quit smoking and more recently has become a motivator to push myself towards a healthier lifestyle that includes daily exercise and better food choices.
