One thing that will definately help clear up your pics is if you make sure you know how to set the "white balance" or "white hue" on the camera you are using (provided you`re using digital).
You can see from the pics in my profile that some are quite green. Though some of this is due to an overabundance of algae, most of it is attributed to not setting the white balance. It truly does make a difference.
