My buddy and I are both experienced Instructors. We are always looking to experience new aspects in diving. We are considering a beginning rebreather course. Looking for any suggestions from those in the know.

I am personally only trained on the Prism2 (and love it!). I got my training from an instructor in Indiana (about an hour away from me). If you want to get a "taste" of some different rebreathers to see what you may like, one of the most comprehensive dive shops on rebreathers is Add Helium in Naples FL addhelium.com/site/ . They carry most brands of rebreathers & have on staff, the instructors to teach those brands. They also put on seminars on rebreathers multiple times a year. Rebreathers are generally tools to an end, so it is wise to decide what objective you want your rebreather to perform, before investing in one. Each model has its good points & drawbacks. I did a lot of research on the Prism2 before deciding on it & my tech instructor happened to teach it. For your entertainment you can also browse a couple of rebreather forums & learn a little of the vernacular. ccrexplorers.com or rebreatherworld.com .
