I’m taking advance class there next weekend. Night dive included. I’m going to try to sign that geocache they have in the plane there if I have a chance...

LOL ... I don’t drysuit either but am just crazy enough to dive the winter months in a 7mm full anyway. Look forward to hearing from you when it warms up some.

Sounds good; I like Pennyroyal better than Martha’s just for the amenities on site but am certainly open to diving Martha’s for a meet up sometime.

Will do. I’m always good for 100+ dives a year - Lots of local diving in the quarries and then some Florida trips as well.

Yeah, Pennyroyal is about 1 1/2 hours away. 120’, vis is usually 25-40 feet, warm on the surface, down to about 50 degrees at the bottom, covered pavilions to stage gear, lots of fish and stuff sunk to see, open Wed-Sun.

Depends on your definition of both local and good. :-) There is a local quarry I can take you to put visibility has been TERRIBLE most of this year. If you’re willing to drive about an 1 1/2 hours then we can get to some much nicer diving.

The quarry is still available for diving but there is no longer a dive shop, no air fills, etc. so you have to be entirely self-sufficient and bring everything you need. Entry is now through a dirt/mud road and the last time I was there I thought the mosquito’s were going to carry me off before I could get into the water. If you’ve never dove there and want to dive it once it’s ok, but for $30 to get in with no amenities onsite or $20-$25 at most other places with lots of amenities it is usually worth the drive to go somewhere else.
