The pinch says I’ll be ok in a few minutes.;)

The hand signals should be on a quiz/test if it is not already.

I was bowling this morning and realized the pinch is a bowling sign, I missed it by this much!

I have seen many divers that don’t feel like making a full circle (mainly ladies for some reason)...so they make the O.K. signal with only a pinch.

I thought "the pinch" was for would taste good with a pinch of lemon pepper while pointing at a Lionfish :)
You don’t want to see "the pinch" when asking your buddy how much air do you have!

BTW, aren’t the little hands cute :) Those are my daughter’s hands.

Yes they are LOL. And on this subject, I don’t think divers practice or use them enough in the early stages of diving. Basics shown in OW class but then are we using them enough to stay sharp

I think the early stages are not taken seriously enough and many things that should be learned aren’t being taught and practiced, specially since to a lot of divers their only training in their life will be that open water training.

True and so OW should be where they are stressed and tested. Maybe that’d be a question to post on its own. To what extent if at all should hand signals be a test topic in OW?

yeah, I have noticed that too when I was still instructing, was always cute to see how the ladies ’pinch’ me back, lol
