Lol, I swapped the 200 hp outboard for a 1 jackass outboard. It doesn’t get up on step that way but it does save on fuel cost. I thought I had fixed the starter yesterday only to have to swim it back to the dock last night,,, again. Luckily I was only a couple of hundred yards away last night while I was testing it.

This is why I keep oars in my sailboat but sailing on Barnegat Bay I can also get out and push :)

I’ve been stuck on sailboats too,,, I def prefer sailboats though,,, if I have enough room for steerage and tacking I can get back to (A) dock. I can tell you that shallow water and an ebb tide can still leave you calling boat assist. I had one on Clearlake just off of Galveston, one in the San Francisco Bay and was in a sail club up in Salt Lake. I haven’t been in almost 10 months and miss the sailing.
