We will be on the Komodo Dancer liveaboard for 10 days. 2 days from Bali, Lombok and Gilli Isles diving along the way, then 8 days in Komodo national park. Apparently there is both tropical and cold water diving as we will be on both sides of the archipelago over the trip. Little nervous about the currents I keep hearing about, but as long as the water is clear enough I think it will be just fine

Oh nice! Sounds like a great trip! Yes, the water temp does vary from place to place. A 5mm should suffice for everything. I have read all the the information about the currents, including about down currents. We did not experience anything like that, but we did dive in a few strong currents. It wasn’t a problem since everything we did were drift dives. The boat just picked us up wherever we wound up. We are spending a few days in Bali at Tulamben afterwards. We absolutely Luv Bali. We usually stay there whenever we go anywhere in Indonesia.

That sounds great! We will be having a flying trip through Bali so will just have to plan another trip to see it all :) Have a great trip and it’d be great to catch up after the trips!

It was great! This was some years back but I am also returning...in August. Great diving and lots of fun playing with the dragons...enjoy!
