I grew up in Lawrence, KS about as far away as you can get from the ocean. I always dreamed of diving, but never did anything about it until...
I got my open water certification at the end of May, 2011. I did my OW checkout on some shallow reefs in Key West, FL. My first two dives as a newly certified OW diver were on the Vandenberg in Key West. That was an amazing experience which totally had me hooked, so now I’m officially addicted to diving!
Shortly after returning to NYC, all I could think about was diving. I found myself on an internet & local shopping spree. I now own computers, regulators, BCDs, Tanks, weights, wetsuits, etc.
I’ve dived around 30 times at Dutch Springs (Quarry) in Bethlehem, PA. I have a season pass to Dutch Springs and every Sunday, Monday, & Wednesday off so I go diving there as much as possible.
I’d love to do some ocean dives anywhere along the East coast. Yes, this includes NY/NJ! Specifically, I’m looking forward to some wrecks off the coast of NC.
I’m looking forward to meeting new people, making new friends, and (most importantly) doing some diving!
