I previously worked for a local dive shop for approximately 5 years, and started into my PADI Divemaster training, but opted not to complete it. The experience in both the retail and training side of the business has expanded my knowledge of operations, equipment, and dive buddy/student behavior. It has given me an appreciation for what it takes to run a dive operation and made me a better diver.

A Mechanical Engineer who graduated from Michigan Tech in Nov ’82, I’m also a certified gas blender and equipment service technician for Aqua Lung, APEKS, Sherwood and Genesis product lines.

Last but not least, I LOVE to dive....the wonders under the water’s surface are ours to enjoy and marvel at......

I look forward to making new friends along the way............Bill

Bill,

As you guessed by the sign in, my name is Marilyn Dahle. I am 66 and recently widdowed. I don’t know if you knew Tony...Bob Dahle. He was also an IBMer for many years. Anyhow, I am currently looking for a dive buddy. I don’t think I’ll be doing many, if any, of the fantastic trips Tony and I used to do, but the Carribean and Bahamas are high on my list. I don’t cold water dive, have roughly 900 dives, usually dive with a camera, and will do up to 4 dives most days. I also started the dive master course to learn not to become a dive master. I usually dive Nitrox and am pretty good with air.

You are much more technicaly competent than I. Blue Water Divers definitely appreciates my incompetence. Having taken PADI’s equipment course back in the dark ages, all I learned was to keep my equipment in good condition not how to do it.

I’ve been trying to keep busy...quite successfully too, and making new friends is on my list of things to do.
