I’m landlocked in Indiana, originally from Missouri but even the worst day of diving in a silty lake or chilly quarry is better than the best day at work! But don’t diss on the lakes and quarries; I still enjoy them :)

I’ve been diving as much as I possibly can lately before going to get my Master’s degree. I’ve done most of my diving in Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas lakes and quarries, as well as Bennett Springs for my cavern cert. I earned my DM in May 2012, and am just wanting to learn some more about diving, and hopefully go diving somewhere warm....

Besides learning more about the physiology, physics, etc of diving, I love to be outdoors, swim, and climb. I’m also really into reading when I have the time, as well as cooking and experimenting with recipes. But diving is my main focus; I want to continue to learn more about advanced diving as I go along. I’d like to meet new dive buddies; I love getting to know new people :)

Nems, If you are on Facebook and looking for an active social dive site check out "Dive STL." It’s a great group with a lot of active divers from around the St. Louis area. I think you would enjoy the page and easy access to experienced and local divers. I provided a link below.

Thanks,

I’ve been to Cozumel a few times and loved it. If you book in advance thru United it’s fairly cheap as a vacation pakage. Casa Del mar is close to the docks, and you can shore dive across the street all you want. The "Anita" is a great boat to dive with knowledgable dive masters and captain. If you think at some time you can make that trip I can get you an email for Tony aka "Mr.Fish". Me and my friends contact him, tell him how many divers and dates and he does the rest.

If you want a real break from the midwest check this site out www.blackbeards.com . It was some of the best trips my ex and I took and now I am taking my son as my dive partner. The very best way to see the Bahamas. It’s like camping on water and not for the luxury minded but somehow I get the feeling that’s right up your alley. They have every different kind of dive you can imagine: drift, wreck, wall, shark and the most incredible reefs and vis.

I’ve actually heard of them! I think ot would be an ideal vacation; on the water, diving...I dont think it could get much better!

You see the "real" Bahamas, untouched areas and don’t touch land but once to have one party night

Don’t diss lakes and quarries but...if you really love diving then you gotta get to the Keys or Carib. The diff is like shooting in black and white, which can be beautiful in its own way, and then shooting in HD color. Besides, the sharks are fun to play with lol.
