I live in Pensacola, Florida and enjoy the diving in the area. I grew up in Texas and was certified up in the Hill Country back in 1986.
I am most definitely not an expert in diving, as I consider myself always learning from others and just thoroughly enjoy diving! I do have my Rescue Cert from PADI and SDI. Have considered getting my DM, but really no need for it. I don’t look to be the best, I look to enjoy the hobby that has become my passion over the past 28 years.
I recently founded and incorporated Recreational Underwater Sports Society, Inc. We are a Florida Not-for-Profit Organization working on obtaining 501(c)3 Federal status.
Currently, our main focus is the Pensacola, Florida area dive sites and we look to help control the Lionfish population thru offering programs to assist divers and also involve the community. We also have a Youth Organization that is currently being formed to connect those youths with common interests and to help instill community involvement values.
Our organization is not only for the scuba diver, but also for snorkelers, free divers, tech divers, and those that just enjoy the enjoyment our water can bring to others, whether as a spectator simply enjoying photos and videos shared by others or participating in an underwater sport.
