Have you tried Sound Beach right by you? There are the jetties at Shoreham but they are a little hard to get to. There is a jetty in Montauk that you can drive right up to and a pier in Fort Pond Bay that is a short walk from the parking lot. Another jetty in Greenport that is about a 1/3 of a mile hike from the lot.

I’ve been to Hampton Bays, Mt Sinai Harbor a few times and Cedar Beach a few times. I am willing to go wherever anyone wants to go. I figured most people have more experience than me and would know good places to go. I’m going for my AOW in August. Can’t wait.

Welcome to DB and congrats on your certification. We dive ponquoge bridge about once a week if your interested. Usually during the week, in the am. Less crowded that way. Its a great dive albeit short sometimes due to moon phase and currents but it is always interesting. The vis has been great lately and lots of life starting to appear.
