Retired instructor, more than a thousand dives, regret not logging every one. Lived mostly on St Croix since 1988, been in the Caribbean since sometime in the seventies, at first roaming around on little sailboats.
Have dived Thailand, Florida, California(ONE dive in that ccccold!), Bahamas, Bonaire, Grand Turk,
and two quarries. Am amazed that I didn’t go back to Thailand permanently.
I dearly love coral. I normally dive solo. Odd, that. Anyway, I live where I can dive, here in the Caribbean.
Edited, 2011, I haven’t been in the water in nearly two years. Partly because of getting tired of solo diving, and partly because the reef has died. The last several dives I did made me cry. New divers don’t know the difference, so that’s OK. I just know too much, and have been watching the corals "go away" for the years I’ve dived the same places. Sigh.
OK, another edit. It’s the end of 2016 now, amazing, huh? I still haven’t been diving. I would like to start diving again, but not alone. I am about to publish my first "Coloring Book for Grown-ups and Scubadivers". Coloring books for adults are a big thing now, and I need a career, as old as am?? It’ll be fun to accumulate artwork of the reefs and fishes, even tho’ they will be historical images patched together from what photos I already have. I’ll post a link once they are on the market. Cheers!
