State of Michigan aka Depree is a boat accessible fresh water dive site, located in Whitehall, Mi. 49437. This dive site has an average rating of 4.00 out of 5 from 2 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 61-70ft/19-21m. The average visibility is 36-40ft/11-12m.

This is about 2 miles out from the White Lake Channel. Originaly named Depree. Sank in 1901 as a 165 foot passenger / freight steamer. Vis is usually pretty good and sometimes excelent - as much as 100 feet. There can be a current but usually not a problem.

I went scuba diving here on 7/27/2014. Average viz: 41-50ft/12-15m. Water temp: 50-55°F/10-13°C.

Not the greatest viz (15 to 20ft) found 3 lures, saw some Perch.

Vis not to bad but good - 30 feet. Saw a school of Perch.
