Regarding CRIME ...is like any other place crime is isolated to some areas and more related to Drug traffic. Just like any Big City in the USA there are places you should not go if you dont have any business being there. Those areas are far from the main tourist areas and mainly in the San Juan area. The farther you get from San Juan the better it gets...My home town, Saban Grande PR ( norht of Guanica is 2 hours away from San Juan, had three years stright w no murders until this year. A police officer out of duty kill his ex-wife and her lover and then committed suicide...
Corruption is there, the main issue is that Goverment is the biggest employer, there is too many people for so little work....
