I just recently got SCUBA certified and am absolutely in love with it. I had been an avid snorkeler for years, but only decided to take the plunge into SCUBA about a month ago.


I’m a bit of a nerd about fish already (I have all the ID books and aquarium membership to prove it) and would like to maybe try some underwater photography.



I am currently trying to get certified to dive side-mount before I make any decisions about buying equipment.


Right now I am in Hawaii (Honolulu), finishing my masters thesis (and trying to dive a lot) for the next few months, but I’m also hoping to learn more about diving in the cold water when I get home to California.
