"Madonnina" (Madonna, in English) is a shore dive getting it’s name due to being directly adjacent to the "Edicola Votiva a Santa Lucia" (Votive Shrine of Saint Lucia, in English) in Nardò, Italy. That said, also submerged at the site is statue of Saint Lucia inside one of the several caverns/swim-through tunnels giving the dive a sacred space. The bottom contour is a mixture of rock and sand with small coral and sponge beds dotted around the site which attract an array of Mediterranean fish.
The nearest Dive Shop who uses this site almost exclusively is Dromia Sub Diving Center Puglia.
