There has been many changes since then and up to today we are adding new things to the resort to make your diving experience with us the best that it can be..
We offer all levels of diving. With water ranging from 5 to 130 ft. depths there is a little something here for everyone. We also have a full line of rental gear available. This allows us to supply you with almost everything you need to dive.
There is a great demand in our area for a top quality dive and training site. With some of the clearest waters in the state, Blue Springs is a must dive destination. We are always trying to make improvements to make diving here better. We also have air fills and nitrox available, We have added a new compressor system to accommodate even more air fills.

Its a nice quarry across the Kentucky boarder in Hopkinsville area near Clarksville Tenn with a full scuba shop on site. they even have training their through . Its depth is about 30’ to about 125’ Its nice but cold. There are a couple of Thermooclines which will make your eye balls shrink. ( just kidding. But its cold). Its very nice with setup booths right next to the water where you can suit up and jump in. Or if you prefer to walk in from a gradual incline or a dock. Sometimes they even fire up the ole grill for some burgers. There is a helecopter a bus, a boat, a motorcycle. Pretty nice dive. I haven’t been yet this year but I think it cost about $20.00. They also have some neat events there also.

Near Bowling Green, KY. Very deep and extra cold below 25’.

Great place to dive. Wear a hood or beanie because the bluegill go after your ears.

Went there with a group from Ohio. We dove 7/16/21, the vis was about 20 feet and the water temp below the thermocline was 52 degrees. Watch out for the biting Bluegill. they seem to attack any bare skin. The shelters are nice from the hot sun.

Not sure how deep you were, but from the surface to about 15 ft, the water is about 78 degrees. I do agree on the vis on Sat. It was terrible.

Getting chilly down there. Looks like New Years before I can make it down there.
mapiatko - 12/03/2015 10:21 PM
It’s definitely getting colder. I am going to do a dry suit class next month. Hopefully that will make it warmer.

Should certainly help. Drysuits are great!

KCook3824 - 6/13/2015 2:31 PM
Hoping to dive on the 22nd or 23rd (Monday/Tuesday), either here or mermet springs wherever I can find a buddy to dive with. Anyone able to dive during the week just let me know!
tstormdiver - 6/13/2015 2:34 PM
Possibility I may go down on Wed. Not 100% sure atthis point.

BTW, Pennyroyal is typically closed on Mondays & Tuesdays.
KCook3824 - 6/13/2015 2:47 PM

Vectornut - 6/11/2015 6:02 PM
Diving on 6/12 (friday). Anyone want to join me?
tstormdiver - 6/11/2015 7:10 PM
Unfortunately I’m working. Was there today diving my rebreather. 1st thermocline is at 17 ft. 73 degrees to 62 degrees. Vis is 15- 20 ft in the shallows. Below 50 ft (cold) the vis opens up to 30- 40 ft.
Vectornut - 6/11/2015 7:14 PM
Thanks for the update TS.
tstormdiver - 6/11/2015 7:16 PM
The entrance area is very mucked up with the current construction of an entrance/ exit ramp. Will hopefully be done soon.
Vectornut - 6/11/2015 7:35 PM
I’ve never been. I assume they have another entry point that’s not being revamped?
tstormdiver - 6/11/2015 7:44 PM
You can jump off the side by the set- up tables, that is over 90 ft of water Or you can enter on either side of where the ramp is being built. Exit can be on either side of the construction. The rocks there kind of form an awkward stairs, but it can be treacherous,... be careful. The construction has stirred up a lot of silt in that area. Once you swim a little ways away, it opens up, some. If you have any questions about the quarry, feel free to ask. I have about 700+ dives there.
RockRat2008 - 6/12/2015 4:30 AM
Yeah, I’d love to dive today but work calls. Hope to be up there tomorrow night though for the "Dive-in movie"; Watch Jaws and make a night dive. Off of the side by the tables where you make your giant stride there is a platform at 20’ so you can stop, get your bearings and make a gear check. Then from there a nice drop down a ladder to 90’ on top of a small boat. Head towards the construction to get to the shallows and see some fun stuff along the way or stay out on the right side if you want to stay deep.
Vectornut - 6/12/2015 8:29 PM
Really impressed with this site. Water was warm up top and cold down deep. Visibility past 30 so was fantastic with lots to see. I’ll be heading back on July 5th for a few dives.
tstormdiver - 6/12/2015 8:47 PM
See ya then!

Was there teaching an OW class. I would agree. Not the best of conditions, but much better than the conditions when I was there 3 weeks earlier.

First dive site for me but clearer waters than I would have expected and I feel like you could get several dives in before really exploring everything it has to offer.
tstormdiver - 5/19/2015 9:45 PM
I was there this past weekend. I was co- teaching an Intro to Tech diving course,... so I can eventually teach it. Was a rather soggy weekend. I thought the vis was pretty poor, but with all the sediment that washed in, I wasn’t surprised. Next time you dive there, look me up. I’m there most weekends in the summer.
